Sr Maintenance Technician
JOB SUMMARYThe Senior Maintenance Technician is focused on people, process and/or systems as it pertains to the upkeep and/or repair of all plant processes, systems, buildings, and production equipment. The Senior Maintenance Technician's ability to respond by use of effective mechanical, electrical, process or support systems skills is critical for success in this position. The position also works to eliminate failures resulting in downtime having direct impact on the plants overall available operating systems.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSComply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and ProceduresProvide safety leadership in promoting and creating a zero-injury safety cultureAbility to solve practical mechanical/process problems and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to understand and follow verbal, written, or diagram instructionsCommunicate with shift supervisors, and other line support regarding maintenance issuesEnsure proper performance of all plant maintenance processes/systems and production equipment through effective use of planning, troubleshooting and/or diagnostics skillsEnsure proper preventative maintenance on all plant systems and production equipment to maximize machine uptimeEnsure compliance with all maintenance processes and work being performedPerforms other related duties incidental to the work described hereinMaintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure facility meets department standardsPerform at an acceptable level as required to meet or exceed daily safety, quality and productivity standardsKeep Maintenance leadership informed of maintenance issuesGenerates Work Orders and closes them out in Maximo or other CMMSProvides input on development on PM's for plant equipmentFollows up and reports craftsmanship (Good/Bad) to Maintenance SupervisorProvide peer coaching discussions to correct issuesPerforms other related duties incidental to the work described hereinMechanical/Electrical troubleshooting and repairBlueprint/ Diagram readingRegular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibilityKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust be able to work well in a team environmentMust be able to read, write, and speak EnglishMust be able to understand verbal and written instructionsMust possess strong communication and organizational skillsMust have to ability to do basic mathematical calculationsMust have the ability to multi-taskMust have strong internal and external customer service skillsMust be able to problem solve and use basic trouble shooting skillsMust be able to work independently and use good judgmentAbility to maintain attention to detailAbility to hear audible noisesAbility to distinguish basic colorsOperate a computer or other keyboard instrumentOperate in an SAP environmentEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEThe employee should have the following:High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade3 - 6 years of work/industry experienceMaintenance technician/specialist experience, ability to fabricate/weld, and previous supervisory experience is a plusESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTThe employee should possess the ability to:Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or outBe exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortableProlong standing or in stationary position for up to 12 hours performing shift workComplete repetitive movementsBend or twistWear all required personal protective equipmentWork in constant noise above 85 decibelsHandle, control or feel objects, tools or controlsLift/move/transport items up to 50 poundsAscend or descend stairsThis is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of job-related responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions.
