This role combines hands-on expertise with leadership to guide floor tech staff, maintain equipment, and uphold facility standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in supervising floor care staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safelyTrain new team members on the proper use of equipment and cleaning techniquesMonitor inventory of supplies and equipment; report needs to the supervisorPerform floor maintenance tasks, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaningEnsure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standardsConduct quality checks and provide feedback to team membersSupport scheduling and shift coverage as neededCommunicate effectively with supervisors, staff, and facility managementQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in custodial services preferredMinimum 1–2 years of experience in floor care or custodial servicesFamiliarity with floor care equipment (buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors)Strong leadership and communication skillsAbility to lift and move heavy equipment and work on feet for extended periodsKnowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper chemical handlingIdeal Candidate TraitsDetail-oriented with a commitment to excellenceTeam player who leads by exampleCalm under pressure and adaptable to changing prioritiesPassionate about maintaining a clean, safe, and dignified environmentRequirementsMust be able to pass a criminal background checkMust have a valid driver's licenseMust have a good DMV recordSalary Description 18.00
