Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGeneral description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. Includes the following and other duties as assigned.Under General Supervision, This Position WillMaintain a safe working environment, following all health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and requirements set forth by the Company.Conduct Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) inspections on Midstream equipment to maintain regulatory compliance standards and expectations.Conduct pressure relief valve (PSV Pressure Safety Valve) testing, adjustments, and inspections to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure industry safety best practices.Schedule and conduct performance analysis on rotating equipment (Engine/Compressor) utilizing Windrock or equivalent systems to verify equipment performance, provide diagnostic testing, and identify mechanical integrity of assets prior to major maintenance events or unscheduled breakdowns.Record, enter, and track data results from testing and inspections into asset management systems. Provide required records reporting for regulatory compliance and produce trending reports for equipment evaluations.Conduct vibration monitoring on Midstream equipment to ensure the integrity and reliability of the assets, and measure mitigation solutions for effectiveness as required.Coordinate, communicate, and work directly with all Midstream business units to schedule inspections, relay data collected, and maintain compliance and record keeping in all working disciplines.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required)High School Diploma or equivalent.At least five (5) years of experience operating or maintaining natural gas compressor units and troubleshooting rotating equipment or equivalent experience.At least one (1) year of experience with natural gas systems, leak detection and repair and working knowledge of pressure safety relief devices.OGI/FLIR training or certification.Recognized operator qualification (OQ) certifications for DOT-regulated equipment.CORE COMPETENCIESList and describe the required factors (i.e. knowledge, skills, abilities, software programs), that are needed for this role.Understands relief valve testing and repair certification.Strong computer skills, proficiencies in Excel, Smartsheet and EAM programs.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as a team, and coordinate with other business units without prompting.Ability to perform required duties with highest levels of integrity to ensure safety and compliance.SAFETY SENSITIVE RELATEDIf applicable. Extreme Cold and Heat: temperatures typically below 32 o F or above 100 o F for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions as wind, rain, snow, and humidity. Noise: there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. Vibration: exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body. Confined Space: work areas large enough for individual to enter, limited means of entry or exit, and not designed for continue occupancy. Hazards: includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals, combustibles, explosives, etc.HOURS / SHIFTSRegular business hours.Available for on-call rotation and responsibilities on weekends and holidays for urgent issues or emergencies during off hours, as needed.PHYSICAL DEMANDSFrequently required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.Frequently lift, push, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds.Frequently be able to bend, stoop, crouch, etc.Frequent amount of traversing through challenging terrain to perform work, evaluate sites and conditions, inspect equipment/assets, etc.TRAVELApproximate amount of time.Minimal travel may be required to other locations.Frequent travel to Company’s field operations and/or offices.
