We offer flexible scheduling which allows our nurses to have input in what they work. Full Time nurses work 3 12-hr shifts; daylight varies with mostly 7a shifts and nightshift works straight 7p's. Teamwork is where we take the most pride. Compassion and a listening ear are what we give our patients and their family members!How you'll contributeA Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:Coordinates the Patient Care Team's delivery of personalized, efficient care with respect for patient's spiritual and cultural differences in accordance with the PA State Board of Nursing Licensure requirement and ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and cost in planning and delivering patient careProvides patient assessment throughout patient stay and participates in discharge planning while maintaining a therapeutic partnership with patient, family, and caregiversInitiates individualized patient and family teaching planAdheres to the 10 rights of medication administrationImplements physician orders and records physician's phone orders with read backCollaborates with physician during roundsMakes decisions and judgments in preventing, analyzing, and resolving patient care concernsReports patient's status, refers problems when necessary and anticipates situations that prevent/minimize adverse outcomesImplements the interventions identified in the established plan of care and collaborates with members of the Patient Care Team as neededDemonstrates and maintains annual competenciesMaintains confidentiality of all patients, hospital, and employee-related informationMaintains accountability for appropriate staffing following the flexible-staffing planAttends and participates as a minimum requirement six staff meetings annually. Reads all staff meeting minutes not attended and indicates reviewMaintains proficiency in Conemaugh Connect as applicable.Participates in Process Improvement unit based activities and hospital based as directedCommits to Service Excellence and continually strives toward achievement of the Standards of CareDemonstrates understanding and knowledge of patient's rightsInitiates and updates plan of care as necessaryFollows hospital policies with patients in isolationAttends educational sessions to gain knowledge about new treatment options, procedures, or equipment.Timely renewal of PA RN license with completion of continuing education hours as required.Initiates CORE measure process as applicableAssure the completion of the Transition of Care documentation as relates to discharge to home, PCH, SNF, acute rehab, hospiceCompletes transfer consent as appropriatePerforms 5 moments of hand hygieneMaintains competency of alternatives and use of restraintsDemonstrates understanding and knowledge of patient's rightsCompletes age specific competencies as directedWhy join usWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
