Project Architect

SMS Architects (www.sms-arch.com) is seeking a Licensed Project Architect - this role is responsible for the technical design leadership, coordination, and execution of multiple projects from conceptual design through construction administration. The ideal candidate is a licensed Architect with 6+ years of professional experience who can lead project delivery, produce and oversee high-quality construction documents, and coordinate with consultants and clients to ensure successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Project & Technical Leadership Design & Documentation Oversight Construction Administration Schedule & Budget Support Quality Control & Problem Solving Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited program preferred (or equivalent experience). Experience: Minimum 6+ years of professional architecture experience. Demonstrated experience leading documentation and coordination for projects through construction. Technical Skills: Revit (required) AutoCAD Strong knowledge of: Construction documentation and detailing Building codes and regulatory requirements Technical project coordination Experience with project delivery methods and construction processes. Core Competencies: Strong technical expertise and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills. Collaborative mindset with leadership capability. Proactive problem-solving and decision-making ability.
