The Speech Language Pathologist will provide services to our residents who have communication, language, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a skilled nursing home facility and must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.Responsibilities:Conduct speech and language evaluations to assess residents' communication, language, and swallowing abilitiesDevelop individualized treatment plans for residents to address their specific needsImplement therapy interventions to help residents improve their communication, language, and swallowing abilitiesProvide education and training to residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques to facilitate the recovery processMonitor and document residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as neededCollaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists to provide comprehensive care for residentsMaintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided in accordance with facility and regulatory requirementsParticipate in staff development programs and in-service training sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledgeQualifications:Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited programCurrent New York State Speech-Language Pathology licenseMinimum of one year of experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in a skilled nursing home facilityExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of Medicare guidelines and regulations related to speech-language pathology servicesIf you are a passionate Speech Language Pathologist looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a skilled nursing home facility, please submit your resume.Job Types: Full-time, ContractSalary: $60.00 - $62.00 per hourBenefits:Flexible scheduleReferral programSchedule:Day shiftEvening shiftMonday to FridayNight shiftWork setting:In-personShift availability:Day Shift (Required)Ability to Commute:Rome, NY 13440 (Required)Ability to Relocate:Rome, NY 13440: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
