Database Cloud Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Database Cloud Engineer for a contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY .Responsibilities :Containerize code and COTS toolsTake software as a black box to install and rehydrate in AWSEngineer cloud (AWS) database solutions that balance performance ,durability and securityAssist in migrating on-prem database(oracle and SQL ) to AWSExperience deploying and maintaining multi-region database deployments in AWSDevelop and maintain IaC using Terraform and GitlabAssist in diagnosing and remediating problems including Database performance issuesWrite IaC code to install custom applications and COTS tools in AWSAssist in ad hoc projects, assignments and responsibilities as necessaryRequired Skills :Experience with containerization technologies including AWS EKS,ECS, Kubernetes (EKS)Experience with cloud and SaaS database AWS, Databricks ,Mongo Atlas, NoSql, RDS databases ( postgress,mysql, oracle)Experience deploying and maintaining mult-region database deployments in AWSGood Experience working with Terraform and Gitlab pipelinesPractical understanding of infrastructure technologies compute, network and storage.Working knowledge and hands-on experience of VPC, AWS Transit VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect methodologies.SGAis a technology and resource solutions provider driven to stand out.
