Whether we’re launching advanced manufacturing systems, deploying digital simulation tools, or scaling global operations, PAC thrives at the intersection of technology, engineering, and problem-solving.Joining PAC means joining a dynamic, fast-paced, and global team that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Position SummaryThe Automotive Installation Technician is responsible for executing the installation of client systems on commercial fleet vehicles in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety requirements.This role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to perform installations efficiently within a structured, high-volume deployment environment. Technicians are expected to follow defined processes, ensure installation quality, and support overall site productivity. This position reports to the Site Leader.Key ResponsabilitiesInstallation ExecutionPerform installations on fleet vehicles following approved SOPs and work instructionsExecute all installation steps accurately, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standardsMaintain consistent cycle times aligned with production targetsUse tools and equipment properly and safely during all installation activitiesQuality AssuranceEnsure all installations meet defined quality standards and acceptance criteriaPerform self-checks and support quality inspections as requiredIdentify and report defects, inconsistencies, or installation issuesSupport rework activities when necessarySafety ComplianceFollow all safety procedures, including Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and site safety guidelinesProperly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all timesMaintain a clean and organized work areaReport on safety risks, incidents, or near misses immediatelyMaterial Handling & Inventory SupportRetrieve and handle materials from on-site storage (e.g., PODs)Verify parts and kits prior to installationEnsure proper handling of components to avoid damage or lossSupport basic inventory tracking and material organizationVehicle Readiness & Inspection SupportSupport basic vehicle readiness checks prior to installation (e.g., visual inspection)Flag issues or non-ready vehicles to the Site LeaderFollow defined processes for deferring vehicles not meeting installation criteriaReporting & DocumentationRecord installation activities and required data using PAC digital tools (PATHFINDER)Capture required evidence (e.g., photos, VIN tracking) for traceability and quality auditsEnsure accurate and complete documentation for each installation Team CollaborationWork collaboratively with team members to maintain workflow and meet daily targetsSupport onboarding and knowledge sharing with other techniciansFollow direction from Site Leader and contribute to a positive team environmentContinuous ImprovementProvide feedback on installation process improvementsSupport implementation of updated SOPs and best practicesIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce reworkRequired Qualifications1–3 years of experience in automotive, mechanical, or installation-related rolesBasic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power toolsAbility to follow detailed instructions and SOPsStrong attention to detail and quality focusAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentValid driver’s licensePreferred ExperienceExperience in vehicle upfitting, retrofits, or fleet installation programsFamiliarity with structured production or assembly environmentsExperience using digital tools for reporting or work trackingBasic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting experienceProject RequirementsAll personnel assigned to this project must comply with the following requirements:English Communication: All employees must be able to communicate effectively in English during operations.Work Authorization: All employees must have valid legal authorization to work in the US.Safety Compliance: All employees must always follow safety regulations and immediately report any potential risks or unsafe conditions during operations.Work Standards: Personnel must follow the established working procedures, including punctuality, adherence to process instructions, and meeting expected performance levels.The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, education, and qualifications.Pay Range: $35 USD - $41 USD
