Software Engineering Manager - Salesforce
The Senior Software Engineering Manager, Salesforce is responsible for leading and developing teams that deliver high-quality solutions across the Salesforce platform. This role drives platform modernization, oversees day-to-day operations, and partners with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, customer-focused solutions. The position requires deep Salesforce expertise, strong leadership skills, and experience supporting complex, regulated environments.ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and manage a team of Salesforce engineers and administrators.Provide technical direction and oversee delivery of Salesforce solutions across multiple clouds.Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce architectures.Partner with internal business, product, and technology teams to optimize and consolidate processes built on Salesforce and MuleSoft.Lead agile development practices using tools such as Jira to manage requirements, backlogs, and testing activities.Oversee day-to-day operations, including change management, release management, CI/CD, and production incident resolution.Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.Establish, track, and drive progress toward KPIs and OKRs.Ensure platform stability, system health, and operational excellence.Maintain adherence to healthcare information security standards, including HIPAA, NIST, and HITRUST CSF.Stay current with Salesforce releases, product roadmaps, and AppExchange solutions.Estimate resources, support business cases, and contribute to high-level program planning.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)10 years of experience as a Salesforce leader managing administrators and developers8 years of experience leading teams and managing direct reports5 years of experience with MuleSoft or a similar integration platformExpertise in at least two Salesforce Clouds: Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Data CloudStrong background in DevOps, CI/CD methodologies, and Salesforce development best practicesKnowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS platforms such as AWS, GCP, or AzureExperience managing vendor relationships, including evaluations, negotiations, and ongoing managementStrong verbal communication and group presentation skillsExperience with HIPAA/HITECH regulations and securing ePHI dataPrior experience in the healthcare industryPay Rate$150-200k
