Apply via Dice today!Position: Assistant Merchandiser/ Assistant BuyerLocation: Glendale, CA 91201Duration: 7 MonthsWork Model: Hybrid (Mon Thu onsite, Fri remote)This role supports the Merchandise Buying Manager in building and executing product assortments across shop, flagship stores, and third party marketplaces, with strong exposure to eCommerce turnover, assortment planning, and cross functional collaboration. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport merchandise strategy and assortment planning for assigned categoriesPartner on quarterly product development (ideation to assortment to samples)Weekly sales, performance, and risk analysis with clear communication of insightsCreate and manage range plans, turnover sheets, photobooks, and playbooksOwn eCommerce turnover process including product data, samples, and fast track meetingsProof product pages, site assets, and URLs for accuracyCollaborate with Site Merchandising, Marketing, Visual, Creative, Production & Guest ServicesConduct market trends, competitive analysis, and identify assortment white spaceBuild vendor and licensing partner relationshipsMonitor product quality reports and follow up on corrective actionsMust Have SkillsAdvanced Excel (reporting, tracking, analysis)Strong organizational & multitasking abilityExcellent written and verbal communicationBuying or merchandising experience (2 3 years)Financial aptitude & business acumenAbility to work independently in a fast paced retail environmentPLM knowledge (highly preferred, not mandatory)Confidence presenting insights to cross functional stakeholdersIdeal Candidate ProfileAssistant Buyer / Associate Merchandiser backgroundExperience supporting eCommerce or omni channel assortmentsComfortable working with product lifecycles, calendars, and turnover processesProactive, detail oriented, collaborative, and highly reliable on follow upsBachelor s degree + relevant buying/merchandising experience
