Production CoordinatorLocation: Norwood, MA Pay Range: $60,000 $70,000 annually Position Type: Full-Time | Direct-Hire Hours: Monday Friday | 7am to 4pmPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and proactive Shift Activity Coordinator (Production Coordinator) to oversee and coordinate daily production activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring that products are manufactured on time, in the correct quantities, and to quality standards.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in production scheduling, workflow coordination, and cross-functional communication, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve operational challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Scheduling & CoordinationDevelop and manage detailed production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacityMonitor workflow and adjust schedules to meet deadlines and changing prioritiesCommunicate production status updates across departmentsMaterial & Work Order ManagementMonitor raw material inventory and initiate purchase orders as neededCoordinate timely delivery of materials to the production floorProcess, track, and update work orders throughout the production cycleIdentify potential delays and escalate issues proactivelyQuality & Process ImprovementSupport quality control efforts by ensuring products meet specifications and standardsCollaborate with Quality and Engineering teams on non-conformance reports (NCRs) and engineering change requests (ECRs)Assist in process reviews and continuous improvement initiativesPerformance Monitoring & ReportingTrack key production metrics such as cycle times, yields, and scrap ratesAnalyze production data to identify trends and improve efficiencyGenerate reports on production output, delivery timelines, and performanceCollaboration & Problem SolvingWork closely with Production Managers, Engineering, and Quality teamsIdentify and resolve production bottlenecks, equipment issues, and staffing challengesSupport production floor activities when needed to meet delivery goalsQualificationsMinimum 3+ years of manufacturing experience2+ years of supervisory or coordination experience preferredExperience in cable and wire manufacturing is a plusFamiliarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 standards preferredExperience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning toolsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeSkills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and technical documentationStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesKnowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plusCritical thinking and decision-making capabilities in fast-paced environmentsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 5075 lbs occasionallyAbility to work on the production floor as neededWhy Join Us?Competitive salary with growth potentialOpportunity to play a key role in production operationsCollaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environmentExposure to continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives10160488
