Quality Inspector

Job description:We are actively seeking an experienced Quality Inspector with a strong background in the metal manufacturing industry. This is not an entry-level opportunity. We are specifically seeking candidates with experience inspecting precision-machined components from turning centers, CNC lathes, and mills. Experience in Aerospace, Defense (DoD), and AS9100-regulated environments is highly preferred.We are looking for quality-focused professionals who understand machining tolerances, blueprint interpretation, inspection processes, and manufacturing quality systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections on machined metal components and assembliesConduct mechanical, visual, and dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and inspection plansAudit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with company procedures and customer specificationsGenerate and document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Material Rejection Notices as requiredDocument inspection findings and monitor corrective actions related to quality issuesPerform first article inspections to support qualification and production processesConduct material kit audits to ensure traceability and accuracyMaintain product identification and traceability documentationEnsure calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment is completed properlyInput quality data into internal systems and maintain accurate records and reportsWork closely with production, machining, engineering, and quality teams to resolve inspection and compliance issuesPerform quality checks to verify products meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirementsFollow all housekeeping, safety, and quality procedures and standardsQualificationsPrevious Quality Inspector experience within the metal manufacturing or machining industry REQUIREDExperience inspecting parts from CNC turning centers, lathes, and mills REQUIREDStrong blueprint reading and interpretation skills REQUIREDExperience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators, and other precision measuring tools REQUIREDAbility to inspect tight tolerance machined componentsStrong attention to detail and documentation accuracyFamiliarity with AS9100 standards and Aerospace or DoD manufacturing environments strongly preferredExperience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes preferredAbility to work independently and communicate effectively with production and engineering teamsPreferred ExperienceAerospace manufacturingDefense/DoD manufacturingAS9100 quality systemsCNC machining environmentsGD&T interpretationFirst Article Inspection reportingScheduleFull-TimeDay ShiftWork LocationLargo, FloridaMSP Industries is seeking experienced, career-oriented quality professionals who understand precision machining environments and can contribute immediately to maintaining the highest quality standards.Work Location: In personWork Location: In personRequired qualifications:Legally authorized to work in the United StatesPreferred qualifications:18 years or older
