Audio Department Operations Manager - LD Systems

The Audio Department Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, staffing, logistics, and execution support of the audio department within a fast-paced live events production environment. This position manages both warehouse and show-site audio operations while leading a team of technicians and coordinating freelance labor resources to support ongoing productions.This is a full-time, in-person leadership role based in Dallas, Texas, offering salary compensation and a full benefits package.The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in professional live event audio systems, strong organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to manage both operational workflow and field execution responsibilities. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage the daily operational workflow of the audio department across warehouse and show environmentsLead, supervise, and support a team of audio technicians during both warehouse preparation and live event executionCoordinate and schedule freelance audio labor to support production and warehouse staffing needsAssist with field operations and provide onsite support for productions as neededOversee audio equipment preparation, organization, maintenance coordination, and deployment logisticsCoordinate with Operations, Production, and Sales teams to ensure successful show execution and efficient resource allocationMaintain accurate inventory tracking and operational records within rental inventory and internal operational software systemsSupport scheduling, labor planning, and departmental workflow managementHelp maintain departmental standards for equipment quality, organization, and operational efficiencyParticipate in troubleshooting, process improvements, and operational planning initiativesEnsure strong communication between warehouse staff, freelancers, production teams, and management Qualifications & ExperienceSeveral years of extensive experience in professional live event audio production requiredFamiliarity with L-Acoustics speaker systems requiredFamiliarity with DiGiCo audio consoles requiredPrevious leadership or team management experience preferredStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills requiredStrong computer literacy and ability to learn and operate rental inventory and operational software systems - Experience using Finesse software preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced production environmentsWillingness to support both warehouse and field operations as neededExperience coordinating freelance labor and production staffing preferredAdditional experience in related disciplines such as rigging, electrical, installation, project management, inventory control, IT, trucking, lighting, or video is highly valued
