Vice President, Business Development - U.S. West Coast - Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Vice President Business Development - U.S. West Coast - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will support revenue growth through customer focus, relationship development, and disciplined commercial execution. You will collaborate with sales, customer, product, and operational partners to identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen market execution, customer relationships, and measurable business results within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $150,000 – $200,000 annuallyResponsibilities Lead and support the senior business development team in building sponsor engagement strategies Oversee the sales cycle activities, including presentations and proposal reviews Manage the career development and performance of business development staff Ensure achievement of sales targets through effective business development plans Monitor compliance and reporting on sales activities to management Engage with C-level executives at customer organizations to strengthen relationships Foster collaboration among key stakeholders for unified sponsor engagementQualifications 8-10 years of experience in business development, preferably in Phase I-IV CRO environments 5 years in a sales management role, ideally within a similar CRO Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field Extensive knowledge of drug development phases across various therapeutic areas Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing future leadersBenefits Professional development opportunities Collaborative and innovative work culture Support from a tenured team of experts Engagement with a variety of therapeutic areas Opportunity to lead a high-performing teamOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
