Long Island truly has something for everyone, regardless of the season.Our ServicesWith nearly 900 physicians on staff, we serve approximately 950,000 patients each year across the south shore of Long Island. Our facility features Suffolk County's only free-standing Center for Pediatric Specialty Care, with satellite locations in Nassau County and plans for further expansion. Our children's program caters to patients from infancy through adulthood, including a Level III Neonatology Unit and a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department staffed around the clock by specialists in pediatric emergency medicine.Training and DevelopmentIn addition to a variety of pediatric specialists and surgical services, we provide training for residents in our accredited pediatric residency program and fellows in pediatric emergency medicine. This collaborative environment emphasizes evidence-based practices, ongoing education, and high-quality care. As a vital member of our team, you will oversee and mentor residents during their pediatric neurology rotations. You will also have the chance to secure an academic appointment that aligns with your qualifications. Furthermore, we are developing a comprehensive Pediatric EEG and video EEG program to address the specialized needs of our patients.Key ResponsibilitiesAssessing and managing infants, children, and adolescents with various pulmonology and sleep medicine issues, including inpatient and outpatient consultations for asthma, lung, and sleep disorders.Supervising and teaching medical students, interns, and residents within the department and division.Upholding high standards of care for all patients.Encouraging high-quality, cost-effective care based on the latest medical evidence.Participating in data collection to evaluate patient care and satisfaction.Staying updated on advancements in pediatrics and related fields through continuing medical education (CME), literature reviews, and staff conferences.QualificationsIdeal candidates will be trained in Pediatric Neurology and hold Board Certification or be Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology. A valid New York State Physician's license is mandatory.CompensationThe salary range for this position is between $217,343 and $307,383. This range is a good faith estimate and actual compensation will depend on various factors, including education, training, skills, licensure, certification, competencies, and relevant experience.
