Title: System Software Programmer - ConsultantLocation: Columbia, SC 29201Duration: 12 months (Possibility for Extension)Job Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)Responsibilities• Identifying, extracting, and transforming required data based on business requirements while following data governance standards • Performing detailed data analysis and data profiling to support the development and implementation of data cleanse/create processes and other strategies that optimize data quality • Understanding performance, quality, and schedule considerations • Interpreting complex data and communicating it effectively using advanced reporting techniques • Recognizing data patterns, quantifying potential issues, and identifying solutions • Standardizing, harmonizing, cleaning, preparing, and using data for dataset development, reporting, and analysis • Providing support to the project team in terms of technical specifications and interface object development • Leading efforts to design, test, and validate system interfaces • Working with state agency IT staff and federal partners to design, test, and implement interface files and procedures for data exchange • Inspecting and correcting interface partner files in production as necessary • Serving as the primary contact for interface production file issues during nightly batch processes and monitoring batch processes for errors • Acting as a liaison between the Child Support team and interface partners • Performing code, technical, and logical reviews • Monitoring database growth trends and recommending normalization strategies and maintenance improvements to ensure long-term performance and scalability • Designing, developing, and managing data analysis reports using the Microsoft Power BI platform • Serving as the primary DBA for Child Support-related applications • Participating in monitoring, oversight, and reporting on the execution of the System Development Contractor’s performance related to development and daily operations activities, including batch and online performance • Developing and maintaining enterprise data authoritative ownership and stewardship metadata • Communicating and supporting the implementation of corporate policies, standards, and procedures that provide effective architecture, governance, and management of the organization’s information/data assets • Developing and maintaining effective and efficient information architecture and data ownership awareness and training programs • Monitoring regulatory and compliance guidelines (such as data retention and audit requirements) to determine impacts on enterprise information architecture Required Skills• 5+ years of experience as a SQL DBA • 5+ years of large system architecture experience • Large-scale production system implementation experience • Experience overseeing the work of software development vendors • MS SQL Server • TFS (Team Foundation Server) • Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 • C#, ASP.NET, and/or .NET • PowerShell Preferred Skills• Experience with Child Support Enforcement system design and development • Experience with Power BI Required Education• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
