Behavioral Health Technician- Teen Parenting GHR
Objective And Position SummaryProvides directs supervision and support for youth ages 12 to 21 within a group home, congregate care setting. Participates in trauma-informed interactions, guidance, intervention, and role modeling while monitoring youth behavior according to program guidelines. Creates and maintain a trauma-informed living environment through interactions, structure, and routine. Responsible for oversight of self-administration of medication, documentation of daily progress toward goals, transportation, and daily living skills of youth, pregnant and parenting youth, and their babies. Assists in the facilitation of individual and group sessions to support independent living skills, social emotional education, leaderships development, vocational skills, self-advocacy, and parenting education. At times, participates in the daily care of infants and/or toddlers. Fosters and creates positive nurturing relationships and communications with youth and their babies.Minimum Qualifications And CompetenciesEducationHigh School Diploma or GED and relevant working experience.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required:Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record. Obtain and maintain Fingerprint Clearance Card Able to obtain CPR (adult and infant), CPI and First Aid certification within 30 days in positionFood Handlers CardOtherAbility to work a flexible schedule required to fulfill duties of position; this may include days, nights, evenings, and/or weekends; including assisting with coverage at other campuses within the agency. At times, individuals must work in a fast-paced environment to handle and prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands and seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
