About ZenSpace EventsZenSpace Events is the leading provider of IoT-enabled meeting pod rentals for trade shows, conferences, and corporate events. We deploy soundproof, tech-enabled private meeting spaces directly onto event floors — setup in hours, fully wired, and ready for business.We’ve built a strong revenue base entirely through inbound demand with zero proactive outbound sales. Now we’re making our first dedicated investment in Bay Area market dominance. This role is the tip of that spear.The Bay Area hosts hundreds of addressable events annually across Moscone Center, Santa Clara Convention Center, San Jose Convention Center, and dozens of major hotel and venue properties. Our current penetration is minimal. Your job is to change that — dramatically.Why This Role Is Different•      No territory splits. You own the entire Bay Area.•      Uncapped earnings with aggressive accelerators as you exceed targets.•      Proven demand. Product-market fit is already validated through strong inbound revenue. You’re not selling an unproven concept — you’re scaling a proven one.•      Founder access. You’ll work directly with the CEO, not through layers of management. Your input shapes the playbook.•      Ground floor. As we scale, this role grows into Regional VP or Head of Sales.What You’ll Do•      Drive proactive outbound sales to event organizers, corporate event managers, trade show planners, and exhibitor services companies across the Bay Area.•      Build and maintain relationships with key venue operators to become a preferred or exclusive meeting pod vendor.•      Develop partnerships with General Service Contractors and major event planning agencies to integrate ZenSpace into exhibitor service packages.•      Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery calls, venue walk-throughs, proposals, negotiations, and close.•      Attend Bay Area trade shows, conferences, and industry events in person — both to sell and to network with decision-makers.•      Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking in CRM with regular reporting on outreach volume, pipeline value, and close rates.•      Collaborate with our remote campaign operations team to coordinate email outreach, lead qualification, and follow-up sequences.•      Provide market intelligence back to leadership: competitor activity, pricing feedback, buyer objections, and emerging opportunities.What Success Looks LikeIn your first year, we expect you to establish ZenSpace as a recognized name across Bay Area event venues and meaningfully grow our presence in the market. Specifically, success means:•      Consistently generating new event bookings in the Bay Area through outbound efforts.•      Building a healthy, growing pipeline of qualified opportunities that gives us visibility into future revenue.•      Establishing productive relationships with venue operators, service contractors, and event planning agencies.•      Maintaining a disciplined daily outreach rhythm across calls, emails, and in-person visits.•      Becoming a trusted resource within the local events ecosystem — someone people call when they need meeting space at an event.Who You AreMust-Haves•      B2B sales experience, ideally selling physical products or services to event planners, corporate clients, or trade show organizers.•      Direct experience in the events industry: furniture rental, AV equipment, exhibit services, booth construction, venue sales, or event planning.•      Existing relationships with Bay Area event planners, venue managers, or exhibitor services contacts — this is the #1 differentiator.•      Hunter mentality — you generate your own pipeline rather than waiting for leads to arrive.•      Based in the SF Bay Area with reliable transportation and willingness to be in the field most of the week.•      Comfortable with consultative selling at mid-market deal sizes.Strong Preferences•      Prior experience at a major events services company (e.g., CORT Events, Freeman, GES/Encore, Shepard, Classic Exhibits, or similar).•      Familiarity with Moscone Center, Santa Clara Convention Center, and major Bay Area event venues.•      Experience with CRM tools such as Zoho, Salesforce, or HubSpot.•      Industry membership or involvement (IAEE, MPI, EDPA, or similar).•      Startup experience or comfort with a small, fast-moving team.CompensationWe offer a competitive base salary paired with an uncapped commission structure that rewards high performance. The package includes:•      A meaningful base salary that provides stability while you build the territory.•      A tiered commission plan with higher rates as you exceed revenue targets.•      Quarterly performance bonuses tied to hitting key milestones.There is no ceiling on what you can earn. Top performers will be compensated accordingly.The First 90 DaysYour first three months are a structured ramp period with reduced expectations. You’ll have full support, founder access, and campaign infrastructure behind you. At the 90-day mark, we’ll conduct a mutual review to ensure you’ve built early momentum — an active pipeline, initial bookings, consistent outreach activity, and venue or agency relationships in motion.This isn’t a gotcha — it’s a mutual commitment.
