Java Backend Developer

Role: Java Backend DeveloperLocation: Austin, TX (Onsite Only)Type: FulltimeRole Overview:We are seeking experienced Java Backend Developers with strong expertise in enterprise application development using Java, Spring Boot, and distributed architectures. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience designing scalable n tier applications, developing REST and SOAP services, integrating enterprise systems using ESBs, and building highly reliable backend solutions. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in Agile development environments.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java backend applications using Spring Boot and J2EE technologiesDesign and implement scalable n tier architectures including presentation, business, and data access layersDevelop and integrate RESTful and SOAP based web servicesBuild enterprise applications for deployment on WebSphere and JBoss application serversIntegrate enterprise applications using DataPower, Mule, or other Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologiesDevelop comprehensive unit tests using JUnit, Mockito, and JestDesign, optimize, and maintain database interactions with Oracle or similar relational databasesParticipate in application lifecycle management activities using JIRA and Agile methodologiesPerform code reviews and maintain high quality coding standardsTroubleshoot production issues and provide effective technical solutionsCollaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, QA teams, and developers throughout the project lifecycleMentor junior developers and provide technical leadership where requiredRequired Skills:Strong experience designing and developing n tier enterprise applicationsExpertise with Java and J2EE technologiesStrong experience with Spring MVCStrong experience with Spring BootExperience with Spring Data, Spring Core, and Spring Transaction ManagementStrong knowledge of JSP, EJB, Servlets, JNDI, JDBC, JMS, JTA, and Log4JExperience developing asynchronous Java processesExperience developing REST and SOAP web services using JAX WS, JAX RS, or Spring FrameworkExperience deploying enterprise applications on WebSphere and JBossStrong experience with JUnit, Mockito, and JestStrong SQL and relational database experience, preferably OracleExperience with application lifecycle management tools such as JIRAExperience integrating systems using DataPower, Mule, or other ESBsExcellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsSelf motivated, detail oriented, and collaborative team playerPreferred Skills:SQL performance tuning and query optimizationExperience writing complex SQL queries using joins and subqueriesExperience troubleshooting SQL performance issuesFrontend development experience with React or AngularExperience with Node.jsTechnical leadership and mentoring experienceExperience performing code reviews and implementing automated code review toolsAbility to collaborate across product, engineering, and business teamsExperience working in complex enterprise environmentsPassion for software engineering best practicesExperience working in Agile development environmentsExpected Deliverables:Enterprise Java Backend ApplicationsREST and SOAP Web ServicesSpring Boot MicroservicesDatabase Design and SQL ComponentsUnit Test SuitesTechnical DocumentationCode Review DeliverablesProduction Support and Issue ResolutionApplication Deployment PackagesEducation Requirement:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
