DescriptionSummary: A physical therapy aide/technician is a non-licensed person who aids in the practice of physical therapy, and who at all times acts under the orders, direction, and on-site supervision of a licensed physical therapist or physical therapist assistant. An aide may perform physical therapy related activities that are assigned and are commensurate with an aide's training and abilities. An aide shall not perform any duties that include the interpretation and implementation of referrals from licensed medical doctors or dentists, the performance of evaluations, the determination and modification of treatment programs, or any independent performance of any physical therapy procedures.Details of Duties:1. Treatment room preparation and clean up2. Escorting patients to and from treatment and preparing them for treatment3. Laundry and stocking of shelves4. Treatment room shelf stocking5. General clinic clean up6. Equipment cleaning and maintenance7. Exercise equipment cleaning and maintenance8. Prepare gel bottles and ice cups9. Supply inventory and ordering Assist in treatment preparation and application as training and skills allow10. Assist in front office duties as needed11. Reports problems to Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants or other appropriate personnel12.
