We are seeking an Assistant Pastry Chef and a Senior Pastry Chef to join our world-class "Parisian Laboratory." We’re looking for two roles:1) a "Second de Laboratoire" Pastry Chef, reporting to Executive Chef ,2) a talented experimented "Pastry Chef" (4-5 yrs experience)The Pastry Chef will collaborate with our team of pastry cooks in crafting our French Fine Pastry recipes that will be offered at our Mountain View & Burlingame Boutiques (& future 3rd location in progress currently).You are the right member for our team if: Your pastry skills are top-notch. You are inspired by and committed to furthering both traditional Fine Pastries as well as our original creations: Seasonal offering or “Signature” creations.Responsibilities• After a period of training, manage a small team, responsible for the daily planning & execution with the necessary highest quality• As team member of Maison Alyzee pastry team, prepare the production of our proprietary recipes in timely manner while minimizing waste• Ensure flawless execution of all preparation techniques and methods• Prepare & document recipes as needed. Propose & develop new recipes & new products.• Ensure all product quality, inventory management, facility cleanliness, and food safety standards are upheld during and after production of all menu items• Maintain & clean equipment, implement best-in-class kitchen management processes.• Support a range of other business production needs, from off-site catering to new product development and onsite eventsApplicant Requirements:• A Minimum of 3+ years in Pastry &/or Bakery• Proven ability to work in an intense momentum with the team in fast-paced kitchen environment• Pastry&/or Bakery school background is a must (we would review as well exceptional profile w/o pastry school)• Product creation & development experience is a plus• Strong Team Player skills and ability to manage many balls at once• Ability to work independently and to be fully “in charge” of some productions• Entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to create real impact by helping to design the future of the company• Excellent work ethic and able to handle a work schedule in-line with business needs (ie. weekends, evenings)• Able to lift up to 50lbs (bags of flour are heavy!) ......• Able to stand for up to 10 hours at a time• Must pass a background check• Passion for Fine Pastry is a mustWhat Maison Alyzee will offer you• Competitive salary + gaining experience to work with the leadership team• Opportunities for annual cash bonus (Performance based)• Medical, dental and vision benefits• Convenient Bay Area (near train station)• An entrepreneurial work environment where you can have an impact on a growing company• Mentors committed to developing you to take on more responsibility within the company• A welcoming and supportive team where diversity and creativity are valuedWe are an equal opportunity employer and welcome diversity in the workplace.The role is located in San Carlos – CA.From France or abroad?
