divh2Medical Assistant/h2pCanyon View Medical is seeking the services of a Medical Assistant at our Family Medicine clinic located in Springville and Mapleton, UT. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) are welcome to apply. The Medical Assistant performs a variety of patient care activities to assist the Health Care Provider. They deliver quality customer service and maintain established quality control standards. The Medical Assistant assists in the care of the patient by following through on Provider orders for treatments./ppPrimary Responsibilities/pulliPerform nursing procedures under supervision of physician./liliAssist physician in exam rooms./liliEscort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patients chart./liliGives instructions to patients as instructed by physician./liliEnsure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients medical records prior to their appointment./liliKeep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required./liliTake telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls./liliTriage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians./liliMaintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)./liliAll other duties as assigned by the physician, MA Supervisor, or practice administrator./li/ulpRequirements/pulliGraduate of an accredited medical assisting program, or CNA certification./liliPrevious clinical experience of one year minimum or externship recommendation./liliUnderstanding of medical terminology./liliKnowledge of EHRs, preferably NextGen./liliExceptional customer service and phone etiquette./liliAbility to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow./li/ul/div
