Custodian I - 2nd Shift - North LibertyThe University of Iowa Healthcare department of Environmental Services is seeking a Custodian to provide a safe, clean and healthy environment for patients, guests, visitors and staff of The University of Iowa Health Care. While supporting the EVS department as a whole, your primary duties will be to clean the kitchen and dining areas. This position will be assigned at our North Liberty Campus. Characteristic duties and responsibilities include general cleaning, trash removal, stocking supplies for cart and custodial area, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms/refilling restroom supplies, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and damp mopping hard surface floors, carpet cleaning, unit/bed making, wall & ceiling washing, furniture moves and room setups. Use various types of custodial equipment in performance of duties. Other tasks and duties as assigned. Position may have Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Risk. This position is performed fully on campus. Desirable qualifications include previous cleaning experience, experience working in a healthcare setting and working with the public, and experience using cleaning equipment.
