Design Release Engineer

Job Title: DRE-Interior Restraints (Seat Belts & Airbags)Work Location: Novi, MIContract: FulltimeJob Description:Experience in engineering interior restraint systems (Seat Belt and Airbag) thru all development phasesExperience with Catia software systems and pulling in and cutting sections in data.Understanding of restraint system requirements Seat Belt and AirbagExperience in DV/PV testing phase for restraint systems (Seat Belt and Airbag)Fast resolution of open issues for restraint systemsPlus, to have knowledge of the VW systemsStrong understanding of the quality process from DFMEA, PFMEA and Control plansTake direction from Scout Engineering to modify components for engineering/design/safety requirementsWork with Supplier(s) to ensure proper upload of data into the VW systemPart updates and changes to existing parts / assemblies needed to support manufacturing feasibility, part performance improvements, and/or changes to interfacing components /systems.Support restraint systems commodity DV/PV testing and lead issue resolutionWork with supplier to ensure tooling timing supports downstream deliverablesIssue resolution for all open restraint issues thru build phase(s)
