Cafe Line Cook – No Nights | Daytime Schedule | Scratch-Made FoodA Taste of Britain in Wayne, PA is looking for a dependable, experienced Cafe Line Cook to join our growing kitchen team. We're a busy daytime restaurant and tea room serving made-from-scratch soups, salads, sandwiches, frittatas, British comfort foods, afternoon tea, and catering. Our kitchen is fast-paced and quality-focused, but without the late nights and high-stress dinner service found in many restaurants. This position is ideal for cooks with experience in cafés, delis, sandwich shops, catering kitchens, prepared foods, or lunch-focused restaurants. What You'll Do • Assemble and plate sandwiches, salads, afternoon tea selections, and other menu items with consistency and attention to detail • Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep lists to support smooth service • Follow established recipes, portion standards, and food safety procedures • Work closely with our kitchen leadership team to maintain an organized, efficient operation • Help produce catering orders, grab-and-go items, and special event menus • Rotate, label, and store ingredients properly to maintain quality and minimize waste • Keep your station clean, stocked, and ready throughout service What We're Looking For • At least 2 years of experience in a restaurant, café, deli, catering kitchen, or similar food-service environment• Ability to read and execute tickets quickly and accurately • Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently during busy service periods • Basic knife skills and understanding of food safety practices • Pride in producing quality food consistently • Positive attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed • Reliability and strong attendance Why You'll Love Working Here • No nights!
