Controller
Overview
In this role you will oversee corporate accounting and reporting for a major pension fund and support field requests. You will lead month-end, quarter-end, and annual closes, including consolidations and external reporting to partners. You will drive controls, system enhancements, and audit readiness while collaborating with the Big 4 on the annual audit. The position offers a hybrid schedule and exposure to tax, loan compliance, and process redesign to improve efficiency and accuracy. You will work across finance, payroll, and operations to safeguard financial integrity and support strategic budgeting and capital activity.

ResponsibilitiesClose the monthly, quarterly, and annual books with consolidation of corporate activitiesPrepare and deliver quarterly reporting to capital partnersProduce financial information to meet internal and external reporting needsImplement and maintain accounting processes, controls, and document retentionPrepare annual audited financial statements and footnotesCoordinate annual tax compliance requestsCollaborate with Big 4 audit team on the annual auditEnsure monthly corporate bank reconciliations are completed and reviewedReview excess cash calculations and advise on distributionsOversee capital calls tracking and investor communicationsManage payroll, benefits, recruiting, and new employee onboardingMonitor compliance with internal controls, policies, and proceduresAnalyze and report debt covenant complianceCoordinate with third-party property manager’s accounting teamPrepare annual corporate G&A budgetAssist with system upgrades and new modules in the general ledgerParticipate in the oversight of the company general ledger system
