This Program Manager role sits within a fast-growing defense technology company in Northern Virginia, supporting a portfolio of active DoD programs across the full contract lifecycle. The position bridges business development and program execution, owning proposal efforts, customer relationships, and delivery performance simultaneously. It is a senior individual contributor role with high visibility into company strategy and direct exposure to end customers operating in special operations and mission-critical environments.Job Responsibilities:Own cost, schedule, and technical performance across a portfolio of active government defense contractsLead and coordinate proposal development in response to government solicitations, RFPs, and follow-on opportunitiesServe as the primary point of contact for government program managers, contracting officers, and customer stakeholdersEnsure contract compliance across FFP, IDIQ, and other contract vehicles in line with FAR and DFARS requirementsCoordinate internally across engineering, operations, and BD teams to keep programs aligned with customer deliverablesMaintain program health reporting and present status updates to senior leadershipSupport pipeline development and capture strategy for new and adjacent business opportunitiesExperience Required:Proven track record managing DoD programs end to end, from award through deliveryStrong working knowledge of government contracting fundamentals including FAR, DFARS, and IDIQ structuresHands-on proposal writing experience, ideally including capture coordination and source selection familiarityPrior background at a defense contractor or program management office; GovCon experience at firms such as Booz Allen, Leidos, SAIC, or similar strongly preferredMilitary background in acquisitions or program management is a strong plusFamiliarity with unmanned systems, ISR, or sensor payload programs beneficial but not requiredActive security clearance preferredLocated in or able to commute to Northern Virginia
