Vice President of Advancement
PRC is seeking candidates who exhibit strong fundraising and leadership acumen for its Vice President of Advancement position. The VP will lead PRC’s overall fundraising, community relations, and marketing strategies, focusing on sustaining and growing the financial and in-kind support of PRC and to increase visibility in the community. This position is part of the Senior Leadership team, reporting to the CEO, and will staff the Development Committee of the PRC Board of Directors. PRC completed its capital campaign, Building a Better Tomorrow, which raised $8M for a new building on our Wheaton Campus, which opened in September 2024. This brought to PRC a significant number of new supporters and partnerships. In addition, PRC will be launching its new strategic plan in the coming months.This role will supervise the Advancement team made up of the Director of Leadership Giving, Annual Giving Manager, Community Giving Manager, Grants Manager, Community Engagement Coordinator, and the Donor Database and Stewardship Coordinator. This is a full-time position, and the office will be on our Wheaton Campus, with the expectation that the candidate filling the role will have a regular presence at our Westmont location, as well as in strategic, local communities.The compensation range for this position is $95,000-$115,000.ORGANIZATION OVERVIEWPeople's Resource Center (PRC) is a nonprofit, social service organization founded in 1975 by community members looking to help neighbors who were facing financial hardship. These programs include: Food AssistanceClothingFinancial AssistanceHomeless Prevention ServicesJob Search AssistanceAdult Basic Education and LiteracyComputer Training and AccessArt EnrichmentLast year, these programs helped over 25,000 people gain the tools and resources they need to build stronger futures.Some of the duties of the role include:Lead and oversee the overall fundraising strategy of PRC including annual fund, major gifts, mailed and electronic appeals, planned giving, special events, grants, capital campaigns, etc. , through the creation and implementation of a comprehensive development plan, working with the Chief Executive Officer, Development Committee of the Board, and the Advancement team, focusing on raising funds in support of PRC's budget, using methods keeping with PRC's mission, vision, values, and brandIdentify, plan, organize and implement strategies to cultivate relationships and solicit gifts and in-kind support from individual, corporate, foundation, service/civic, faith groups, and other constituencies that meet PRC’s goalsEstablish and monitor Advancement Department goals, objectives and budgets; regularly reporting status of fundraising and marketing activitiesDevelop and oversee a comprehensive community relationship strategy to meet PRC’s strategic objectives, increase PRC visibility throughout the community and to develop relationships to further its mission and services, soliciting input from leaders across the organization as needed and reflecting PRC’s neighbor-to-neighbor volunteer philosophy Develop and oversee execution of a Marketing Plan to support PRC’s strategic objectives, increase PRC visibility throughout the community and to improve awareness of its mission and services. Track progress toward goals (expenses and volume metrics) and recommend and implement adjustments as necessaryOversee planning and provide coverage as needed for special events (including fundraisers) that achieve PRC’s development and marketing goals.
