Please complete the application below so we can take the next step.Essential Job FunctionsAll positions at Wood Shed require the ability to:Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the store and yardPerform work requiring balance, coordination, and hands-free mobilityLift, carry, push, and pull materials of varying weight depending on role (up to designated limits)Work in a fast-paced retail environment with changing prioritiesAssist customers in a professional, courteous, and solution-oriented mannerWork both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsSafely operate tools, equipment, or vehicles as required (training provided where applicable)Follow all safety policies, procedures, and operational standardsThese functions are considered essential and cannot be removed or permanently modified.Yard & Operations Associates support material movement, receiving, deliveries, and yard organization. This is a physically demanding role critical to store safety and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, unload, and organize incoming freight and deliveriesOperate forklifts and other equipment (certification/training provided)Load materials for customers and delivery trucksMaintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and warehouse areaAssist with inventory management and material stagingSupport inside store operations when neededFollow all safety protocols and equipment guidelinesQualificationsStrong work ethic and attention to safetyAbility to lift 80+ lbs., stand and walk for extended periods, and work outdoorsAbility to safely operate equipment or willingness to be trainedValid Driver's License with Class E preferred, but not requiredComfortable working in varying weather conditionsFlexible availabilityCompensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hourWelcome to Wood Shed Lumber & Hardware SupplyCarrollton, Missouri has had a locally-family owned lumber and hardware store for over 67 years. Other services provided are UPS shipping and drop off location, key cutting, glass cutting, propane refills and delivery.The WOOD SHED Lumber & Hardware Supply has teamed up as a business partner with the local elementary classroom. The children and the team enjoy the classroom visits by sharing a great story and conversation. These amazing children bless us beyond measures by showering us with thoughtful thank you cards and artwork.
