Job DescriptionJob Title: Geotechnical Project EngineerJob OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys both field and office work and is passionate about soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and construction support. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical investigations, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and manage geotechnical field investigations, including drilling, sampling, and testingLog soil and rock samples and oversee laboratory testing programsPerform geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining walls, slopes, and earthworkPrepare geotechnical engineering reports and design recommendationsProvide construction-phase services, including site observations and issue resolutionCoordinate with clients, contractors, and internal project teamsEnsure projects are delivered on schedule and within budgetQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field2-7+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering (experience level flexible)EIT required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframeStrong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation design, and geotechnical testing methodsExperience with geotechnical software is a plusReach out to josh.vaughan@gogpac.com with questions and to send your resume
