POSITION SUMMARY
The Campus Coordinator supports the daily operations of a campus by providing high level organizational, logistical, and administrative coordination. This role ensures that campus systems run smoothly, supports campus leadership, and helps maintain an efficient, student centered environment. The coordinator works closely with administrators, teachers, staff, students, and families to uphold campus goals and district expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Campus Operations & Logistics Oversee and coordinate daily campus operations to ensure smooth functioning of school activities. Manage campus calendars, schedules, and event logistics, including assemblies, meetings, and professional development. Support the implementation of campus procedures related to attendance, discipline, safety, and student services. Assist with substitute teacher coordination, duty schedules, and coverage needs. Receive, store and submit campus funds to district business office (e.g, fundraising money).
Administrative Support Provide direct administrative support to the principal and assistant principals, including preparing reports, correspondence, and presentations. Maintain organized digital and physical records, ensuring compliance with district and state requirements. Coordinate communication between campus departments, district offices, and external partners. Support campus budget tracking, purchasing, and inventory management for campus supplies and materials (e.g., entering requisitions/POs, transportation reservations).
Payroll & Personnel Support Serve as the campus payroll designee, ensuring accurate timekeeping, verification of employee hours, and timely submission of payroll records in accordance with district policies and deadlines. Assist staff with payroll related questions, corrections, and required documentation. Monitor substitute assignments, extra duty hours, and attendance records to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
Student & Staff Support Assist with student recruitment, enrollment, withdrawals, and records management. Support staff onboarding processes, including orientation materials and access to campus systems. Serve as a point of contact for staff, students, and families seeking information or assistance.
Compliance & Data Management Support departments with collecting, organizing, and analyzing campus data related to attendance and discipline. Ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.
Campus Culture & Communication Assist with parent engagement. Help coordinate campus events, celebrations, and initiatives that promote a positive school culture. Assist with drafting and distributing campus communications such as newsletters, announcements, and updates as needed. Assist with drafting and distributing campus website and communication information assigned.
Professional Expectations Maintain confidentiality of student, staff, and campus information. Maintain and improve professional competence through ongoing training and development. Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as needed. Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with colleagues, students, families, and all stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma/GED required; College hours/Associate's degree preferred Minimum 2 years experience in applicable area. Experience in a public school district or charter, education service center, institution of higher education, or other educational setting preferred. Experience working with a wide range of populations: personnel, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS Ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into focus; judge distance (close and distant); reach with arms extended and use hands to manipulate the keyboard, smart board and other conference room/classroom technology. Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds, including but not limited to: books, paper, presentation materials and office materials/supplies. This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling and/or the ability to be mobile. This position may require prolonged or irregular hours. Maintain emotional control under stress. Ability to travel throughout the district and city as needed by means of personal/private or public transportation in compliance with the state's department of motor vehicle and/or public transportation laws. Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district.
