Retail Sales Associate
Overview: Parfums de Marly - Our Luxury Fragrance has established itself as one of the leading, most innovative brands in the niche fragrance industry today. We are recruiting a Part Time Brand Ambassador with relevant sales experience in the luxury sector. The ideal candidate is goal oriented and will assist in meeting and exceeding sales goals for our brand. Purpose: To acquire, cultivate and maintain relationships with our clients through deep product knowledge, personal engagement and luxury service. Areas of Responsibility Essential Functions: Cultivate and Grow Client Base Sell luxury brand fragrances to achieve and/or exceed monthly fragrance sales targets Ensure each client receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, product knowledge, and honest advice In-depth knowledge of the desires, needs and expectations of luxury clients - being a master of storytelling and the art of asking engaging questions. Proactively utilizes mobile devices and selling technology to communicate with clients and expand the business Ability to strategize own business and be self‐motivated; take initiative to increase individual productivity through out of home base selling and strong client relationships. Enhance Client Experience Explain and demonstrate use of fragrances through actual application Be knowledgeable of and perform sales support functions related to POS procedures Graciously takes returns and offers options based on client’s needs Ensure beautifully presentation, organization, storing, and replenishment of fragrance stock Contribute to Team Success Ensure sufficient product stock levels and inclusion of fragrance samples with every order Ensure timely processing of new receipts, damages, testers, and return to vendor Participate in pre-selling and sales driving events to maximize sales Attend product training classes and seminars Thinking innovatively about how we can improve and generate new ways of creating tangible value and magic for the client Actively creates a positive work environment and maintains positive relationships through teamwork and collaboration Ensure work area is free from hazards and work in a safe manner Adhere to Loss Prevention control and compliance procedures Maintain good housekeeping standards and be in compliance with all hygiene standards Education / Experience Requirements Qualifications and Competencies: Work authorization (Required) High school diploma preferred Previous retail sales experience preferred, luxury retail experience a plus Ability to meet and exceed sales goals Structured and vigorous in follow-through General knowledge and interest of luxury brand fragrance or cosmetic products preferred Excellent English language skills; knowledge of second language preferred Computer knowledge to track inventory Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team to achieve success, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, and weekends Physical Requirements: Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions Benefits Pay: Competitive hourly Brand selling incentives Flexible schedule 5 hour shifts Weekend availability Job Type: Part-time Salary: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour Shift: Day shift Weekly day range: Monday to Friday Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: Los Angeles, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
