Job Title : Knowledge Management CoordinatorLocation: Sterling Heights, MIWage Range: 35-40 depending on years of experience and qualificationsJob Number: 13123Job Description: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Knowledge Management Coordinator to work from their Sterling Heights, MI facility. The Knowledge Management Coordinator is a member of the Engineering Operational Excellence & Business Operations team. In this role you will support development of training plans, set up of training classes, record training data, status budget and assist with uploading documents to Knowledge Management System. The role will also have responsibilities in proposal support & capital planning. You will coordinate & follow up on Engineering inputs for new business proposals and be a backup person for compiling capital project data.Responsibilities To Anticipate/ExpectInterface with Engineering leaders on training needs & setting up training for employeesCoordinate with suppliers that provide training coursesOrganize delivery of the training (e.g. rooms, equipment, security requirements, attendee communication, etc)Maintain training data (e.g. attendee lists, course feedback, training cost, training plan, etc)Support upload of knowledge artifacts into Microsoft SharePoint Knowledge Management SystemProvide monthly status reports for training budget and training courses completedCoordinate engineer access to proposal management toolSupport the Engineering Proposal Lead by extracting status reports & follow up on proposal input and approvalStatus capital project approvals & budget and compile capital project planning dataRequired Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degreeDue to the nature of this work US Citizenship is requiredProficient in excelExcellent organizational, written, communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work multiple requirements concurrentlyPreferred Skills And ExperienceMicrosoft SharePoint experienceExperience coordinating trainingExperience with providing budget statusFamiliarity with Engineering processesAdditional InformationAble to work overtime when requiredLimited travel may be requiredAbility to report on-site as the primary work locationEqual Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
