Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Atlanta. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Your expertise in Java, SQL, and DevOps principles will contribute to the efficient delivery of software solutions while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with development teams to understand software requirements and design appropriate CI/CD pipelines.
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD processes, tools, and frameworks to automate software delivery and deployment.
Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of CI/CD pipelines by implementing best practices and industry standards.
Monitor and analyze pipeline performance, identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline and optimize development and deployment workflows.
Manage and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Utilize containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for application deployment and scalability.
Develop and maintain configuration management and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Implement and monitor robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of infrastructure and applications.
Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain best practices for securing applications and infrastructure.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to DevOps and continuously propose improvements to optimize our software delivery processes.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Java and SQL.
Solid understanding and experience with CI/CD principles and practices.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Familiarity with configuration management and orchestration tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a distributed systems environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
