Civil/Structural CAD Designer I

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Civil/Structural CAD Designer to join our growing team!CAD Designer (Civil/Structural)We are seeking a CAD Designer with experience supporting engineering and construction projects through 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and construction document development.This role partners with engineers to deliver Issued for Bid (IFB) and Issued for Construction (IFC) drawing packages across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical projects.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Autodesk toolsProduce construction documents, bid sets, and detailed design packagesCreate layouts, schematics, grading plans, and structural detailsCoordinate with engineering, design, and project teamsApply CAD standards, QA/QC processes, and drafting best practicesManage drawing revisions, redlines, and document controlSupport design calculations and technical problem-solvingRequired QualificationsAssociate degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or Engineering Technology (or equivalent experience)3+ years of CAD drafting/design experience in a project-based environmentStrong proficiency in civil and Structural 3D modelingAutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, or CADWorxExperience with:Site design and gradingConstruction drawings and plan setsStructural detailing (steel and/or concrete)Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesBonus If You Have Any Of The Following QualificationsExperience in oil & gas, industrial, or infrastructure projectsKnowledge of survey data processingFamiliarity with multi-discipline project coordinationSkills & KeywordsAutoCAD Civil 3D Plant 3D CADWorx Drafting 3D Modeling Construction Documents IFC Drawings IFB Packages Civil Design Structural Steel Concrete Detailing Grading Plans Engineering Design Industrial Projects Oil & Gas Survey Data QA/QC Design CoordinationWhy Join UsWork on multi-disciplinary engineering projectsOpportunity to grow technical expertise in Civil and Structural designCollaborative, team-driven environmentBe Part of Something Bigger – Join the Team at Lake Superior Consulting!At LSC, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with top-tier talent and take on meaningful projects in industries including Liquids and Natural Gas, Power, Mining, Water and Wastewater, Renewables, and Manufacturing.If you’re driven, curious, and ready to grow your career while making a difference, we want to hear from you.Lake Superior Consulting offers a competitive compensation package. The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location.
