On this team, you will be responsible for assisting all activities associated with safely operating equipment; including, but not limited to setup, operation, and cleanup.Work Schedule: 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday; 3:00pm-1:30amMain DutiesFull-time role in a manufacturing plant/warehouse settingFollow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all timesOperate printing presses and/or die cutters to make a variety of corrugated productsMonitor product quality and ensure that the quality control systems are being utilized properlyDrive production and efficiency of assigned machine centerAdditional DutiesRecord production statistics within our ERP systemBecome knowledgeable of paper properties, setting up a press and managing colorsMaintain machine to ensure all preventative maintenance has been completed by the scheduled timeEnsure that equipment is clean and organizedEnsure that all safety guards are in place and operate properly on the machineAssist in training new associates to safely perform their duties in the most efficient way possible while upholding the highest quality standardsRecommend changes in methods, equipment, material handling and similar projects for improvements in efficiencies or standards of practicePromote morale and wellness of Crew MembersOther tasks as assigned by supervisorDesired Skills & QualificationsMachine operator or other manufacturing operator experience preferredQuality and results orientedAbility to read a tape measure with speed and accuracyAbility to understand and follow both verbal and written instructionsWorks well with others in a team settingShows dependability on the jobDemonstrates a professional attitude and even-tempered response through interactions with othersComprehend and apply basic instructions furnished in written, oral or graphic formAbility to solve problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularlyStand, walk and communicate with others (both speaking and listening) regularlyUse hands to adjust, manipulate and feel product frequentlyReach with hands and arms frequentlyStoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequentlySit occasionallySpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusAbout BCIBuckeye Corrugated, Inc.
