Firewall Engineer

Seeking a Firewall Engineer with demonstrated experience managing and supporting Check Point firewall environments within large enterprise settings. This role is heavily focused on day-to-day firewall operations, including reviewing and implementing access requests, troubleshooting connectivity and policy-related issues, and supporting a fast-paced operational environment.About the RoleStrong hands-on administration experience with Check Point firewalls; candidates must have direct experience fulfilling firewall change and access requests rather than solely designing architectureSolid understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, ports, routing concepts, NAT, and traffic flow analysisProven ability to diagnose and resolve firewall policy and connectivity issuesExperience following formal change control processes; exposure to ServiceNow is a plusComfortable working independently while managing a high volume of operational taskResponsibilitiesExposure to Check Point Maestro or large-scale firewall deploymentCheck Point certifications such as CCSA or CCSE.Basic scripting or automation skills using tools such as Python or PowerShell.Experience supporting regulated industries such as financial services or healthcareRequired SkillsStrong hands-on administration experience with Check Point firewalls; candidates must have direct experience fulfilling firewall change and access requests rather than solely designing architectures.Preferred Skills Exposure to Check Point Maestro or large-scale firewall deployments.
