Key responsibilities include animal tissue processing, conducting cell culture experiments in a BSL-2 environment, preparation of samples for flow cytometry, staining, acquisition in spectral flow cytometers, data analysis with specialized software such as FlowJo, OMIQ and GraphPad Prism and presentation of data in internal group meetings.Responsibilities:Conduct various assays to monitor immune responses elicited by vaccine candidates and document laboratory work in electronic notebooks thoroughlyMaintain cell lines, process tissues such as spleens, lymph nodes and PBMCs, and prepare samples for testing, assisting with molecular and virology workEnsure compliance with SOP guidelines, cGLP, and/or cGMP guidelines, and execute qualifications and validations of new instruments and custom methodsContribute to work group goals, collaborate with team members, and participate as a team memberPrioritize work to meet project deadlines, apply technical skills to assignments, and organize work according to departmental prioritiesChoose between alternatives to solve moderately complex problems, follow procedures with general instructions, and work under moderate supervision with regular reviewIdentify and report experimental problems, troubleshoot causative factors, implement necessary corrections after discussing with the supervisor, and train other analysts on established technologiesQualifications:BA/BS with at least 3 years of experience or MBA/MS with any years of experienceHands-on experience in cell culture and cell-based assaysExperience in Flow Cytometry including analysis with specialized software such as FlowJo, OMIQ, etc.Fundamental laboratory skills, including molecular biology, mammalian cell culture and tissue processingStrong background in experimental design and result interpretationEffective verbal and written communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentProficiency in using personal computers for word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and scientific softwareLocation/Shift:This is a fully onsite role in Pearl River, NYMonday - Friday; 40 hours per weekPlease note contractors are engaged to provide services to Pfizer on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment.
