This is a strong opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful client interaction, increasing autonomy, and the ability to build long-term influence within an established estate planning and elder law practice.Candidates with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. The role can be shaped based on experience, with stronger mentorship and development for a newer attorney and greater independence for a more experienced candidate.Experience in estate planning, elder law, probate, trust and estate administration, Medicaid planning, tax, or adjacent private client work may be a strong fit for this role.About The RoleDepending on your current experience and leadership goals, this role offers the opportunity to support and help grow the Brooklyn office while managing estate planning and elder law matters with appropriate guidance and increasing independence.This may include meeting with clients, identifying planning goals, developing legal strategies, drafting and reviewing documents, leading or participating in signing meetings, and helping ensure each client receives a smooth, supportive, and well-organized experience.You will be supported by an onsite intake coordinator and firm leadership that continues to drive business development. As the office grows, additional paralegal support is planned, creating an opportunity to help shape the local team over time.What You Will DoManage or support client matters from consultation through completionGuide clients through estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, probate, and estate or trust administration mattersDraft, review, and revise estate planning and related legal documentsCommunicate with clients in a clear, professional, and compassionate mannerCollaborate with firm leadership on workflow, client service, and office growthHelp ensure matters move forward with accuracy, organization, and follow-throughSupport the development of the Brooklyn office as the practice continues to growWhat Success Looks LikeClients feel confident, informed, and well cared for throughout the processLegal work is accurate, timely, and aligned with firm standardsMatters move forward with appropriate urgency, organization, and follow-throughCommunication with clients, team members, and leadership is clear and proactiveThe Brooklyn office operates smoothly under your day-to-day legal leadershipYour work strengthens client relationships, internal workflow, and future office growthRequirementsWhat We're Looking ForJD and active New York license in good standing2 to 5 years of relevant legal experience preferredExperience in estate planning, elder law, probate, trust and estate administration, Medicaid planning, tax, or related private client workStrong writing, drafting, and interpersonal communication skillsConfidence communicating with clients about personal and sensitive topicsSound judgment, organization, follow-through, and attention to detailInterest in growing professionally and contributing to the long-term success of the Brooklyn officeFamiliarity with ElderCounsel, WealthCounsel, or similar planning software is a plusSpanish/English Bilingual ability is welcomeBenefitsCompensation is designed to reflect experience, leadership responsibility, and long-term contribution2 to 3 years of relevant experience: $115,000 to $135,0004 to 5 years of directly aligned experience: $135,000 to $165,000Compensation may be flexible for a candidate with strong estate planning, elder law, tax, probate, or transferable private client experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunities availableOrigination bonus opportunities may be available for attorney-generated businessCompensation review may be considered after 6 months based on performance, fit, and contributionMedical, dental, and vision coverageRetirement supportProfessional development reimbursementPartnership pathway available for long-term contributorsAbout The FirmMiller & Miller Law Group is an established estate planning and elder law practice known for clarity, compassion, and competency.
