Compensation$16.89Compensation TypeHourlyGradeEmployment Type:NE04DepartmentBuilding and FacilitiesPosition SummaryUnder direct supervision, maintain, repair, diagnose and install plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, electronic, refrigeration, and HVAC.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance on CCC mechanical systems; to include but not limited to lubricating motors, changing filters, checking for damage, chemical treating systems, monitoring computer systems.Clean, monitor, repair, and diagnose heating systems; calibrate gas and electronic fired boilers, maintain and verify proper gas pressure and water temperature, maintain proper water flow, program thermostat and electronic control.Monitor and maintain cooling system to include refrigerant levels, oil levels, water flows, condenser pumps, evaporator pumps, strainers on cooling towers, water temperatures safety control operations and pressures. Diagnose and repair unscheduled shutdowns. Maintain and monitor Hydronic heating/cooling systems; clean and replace filters, service and repair pumps, monitor pressures, monitor water flows. Maintain, repair and operate Desigo and other technical applications. Remove, relocate, diagnose and repair electrical systems in all CCC facilities. Maintain, repair and replace plumbing fixtures to include tanks, showers, water filters, sump pumps, vacuum breakers, pipes, drains and timers. Flush and clean plumbing systems.Install, repair and replace door alarms. Test and monitor campus fire alarm systems.Essential SkilsAbility to use Outlook, Microsoft Suite, technical applications such as a ticketing system, building automation and management systems.Ability to read, write, type and speak clearly.Physical RequirementsRequires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 100 lbs. Ability and willingness to climb a ladder in or around tight spaces.Schedule DetailsMust be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDSix months of professional experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing or HVAC.Ability to hear mechanical noises and read schematics. Ability to differentiate color-coded wiring.Preferred QualificationsJourneyman level plumber, electrician, or HVAC Universal Refrigeration Certificate and two years’ experience in maintenance and repair of equipment is preferred.
