Job DescriptionMake a Difference When It Matters MostThe Staff Pad is proud to partner with a reputed hospital located in Helene, MT and we're looking for a dedicated, skilled and compassionate Forensic Nurse to join a mission-driven team dedicated to providing specialized care, restoring dignity, safety, and hope for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, and other forms of interpersonal violence as well as patients requesting forensic examinations during acute care period.As a Forensic Nurse, you will provide expert medical care, compassionate advocacy, and critical forensic support during some of the most vulnerable moments in a patient's life.This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about trauma-informed care, patient advocacy, and creating meaningful impact in the community.What You'll DoDeliver emergent medical triage and compassionate, trauma-informed care to patients during critical and vulnerable situationsConduct comprehensive medical forensic examinations following state standards and using evidence-based best practicesCollect, document, and preserve forensic evidence while ensuring chain of custody integritySupport patients throughout the forensic process and recovery journey and educate them on the impacts of trauma and available healthcare resourcesCoordinate seamless follow-up care, referrals, and access to community resourcesPartner with law enforcement, advocacy agencies, social services, and legal professionalsParticipate in on-call coverage, including weekends, and holidaysMaintain and advance forensic nursing expertise through ongoing education, specialized training, and professional development opportunitiesContribute to community outreach, prevention education, and awareness initiativesWhy Join Our TeamOpportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of survivorsCollaborative and supportive interdisciplinary environmentSpecialized forensic nursing training and career growth opportunitiesMeaningful, purpose-driven work with strong community impactOngoing education and certification supportA role that combines clinical expertise with advocacy and compassionWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsCurrent RN license in the State of MontanaBLS certificationMinimum of 2 years of healthcare experience in a related settingExcellent verbal and written communication skills with strong abilities in time management, organization, and program developmentAbility to provide empathetic, patient-centered care in high-stress situationsPreferred QualificationsAdolescent/Adult SANE training preferred (required within 3 months of hire)Pediatric SANE training preferred (required within 18 months of hire)Experience in emergency, trauma, women's health, or critical care settings preferredIdeal CandidateYou are a compassionate and resilient nurse who thrives in meaningful workYou value advocacy, professionalism, and collaborationYou are committed to supporting survivors with dignity, respect, and expert clinical care
