The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python-based ETL development, cloud-native data platforms, and SQL-based analytics.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that query data using Amazon Athena.Develop Python scripts and modules for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and validation.Optimize Athena queries and data layouts (partitioning, file formats like Parquet/ORC, compression) for performance and cost efficiency.Integrate Athena with AWS services (S3, Glue Data Catalog, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch) and data tooling.Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and automated alerting for pipelines.Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to translate analytics requirements into queries and data models.Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and query libraries.Support ad-hoc analysis and query tuning; mentor junior team members on best practices. Required Skills:5+ years of experience in Python development and data engineering.Strong hands-on experience with AWS Athena and advanced SQL.Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and IAM.Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
