Solutions Architect / Technical Lead
We’re hiring a Technical Lead / Solution ArchitectArt of Spin is a fast-growing game development studio focused on building high-quality slot games, instant win games, and casino content for a global audience.Founding Lead Engineer (AI Retention Platform)We are building a new B2B AI product for the iGaming industry: an external retention intelligence platform that helps operators predict player behavior, identify churn and VIP signals, generate next-best-action recommendations, and eventually trigger engagement mechanics through CRM and gamification workflows. This is not a maintenance role inside an existing product team. This is a true 0→1 build role.We are looking for a Founding Lead Engineer who can take a greenfield product from early concept and fragmented requirements to prototype, MVP, and the foundation of a scalable engineering system. At the current stage, we do not need a “people manager first.” We need a hands-on technical builder who is comfortable working in ambiguity, moving fast, making sound architectural decisions, and helping shape both the product and the technical approach. What you will doPhase 1: Discovery, framing, and early prototypingWork directly with the founder and key stakeholders to turn an early product concept into a practical execution planClarify functional and non-functional requirements through active stakeholder discoveryChallenge assumptions, identify gaps, and help define what the product actually needs to do firstRapidly build prototypes to test product flows, technical feasibility, and integration approachesCreate lightweight but clear technical and product documentation as the product takes shapePhase 2: MVP definition and buildTurn validated prototype learnings into an MVP architecture and implementation planDesign and build the first version of the platform with a strong bias for speed, pragmatism, and extensibilityDefine the right technical trade-offs for a real B2B product: integration model, latency expectations, deployment approach, observability, and reliability boundariesHelp shape how the platform connects to operator ecosystems, CRM systems, and data sourcesPartner closely with ML and product stakeholders to make sure predictive outputs can be operationalized in real workflowsPhase 3: Foundation for scaleHelp define what should remain simple, what should be hardened, and what should be rebuilt after MVP validationContribute to hiring decisions and help assess future engineering needsPotentially grow into a broader technical leadership role if that matches your strengths and ambitionsWhat this role is really aboutThis role is for someone who is energized by:greenfield product developmenthigh ambiguity and fast iterationbuilding before the org chart existstranslating business intent into technical realityprototyping quickly without losing architectural judgmentoperating as a senior individual contributor first, with leadership potential over timeThis role is probably not a fit if you are looking primarily for:an established team structurefully defined requirements from day onea role focused mostly on people managementa stable environment with fixed processes and low uncertaintyWhat we are looking forStrong backend engineering background with experience building scalable systems from scratchProven ability to work in ambiguous early-stage environments and create structure where little existsStrong product instinct and comfort working directly with business stakeholdersAbility to move between discovery, architecture, coding, and technical decision-makingExperience designing API-first and integration-heavy systemsGood judgment on pragmatic MVP architecture vs overengineeringStrong communication skills in EnglishNice to haveExperience in B2B SaaS, decisioning systems, CRM-linked products, or event-driven architecturesExposure to AI-enabled products, recommendation systems, behavioral analytics, or retention-related use casesExperience in iGaming, sportsbook, casino, martech, or customer engagement platformsExperience helping hire early engineering teams or shaping technical org design after MVP stageTech stackThe stack is not fixed yet. This is a greenfield environment, and we expect the right person to help shape the stack based on product needs, integration realities, speed of execution, and long-term maintainability. We are open to candidates from different technology backgrounds, but you should be comfortable making practical architecture and stack decisions in an early-stage setting. Why this role is interestingChance to shape a new AI-native B2B product from the beginningHigh ownership and direct access to decision-makingReal influence on product, architecture, and technical directionOpportunity to become a key technical pillar of the business as it evolvesA rare 0→1 role where technical judgment matters as much as execution speedLocationEurope preferred. We are open to remote candidates within compatible time zones.
