This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For moreinformation, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/jobs/13534435**![](embedded:image1.png)Facilities Coordinator**Reports to: Vice President of Finance*Revised: 2.2026***JOB SUMMARY**The Facilities Coordinator maintains and oversees the Agencys grounds,buildings, and equipment to ensure the workspace is safe and functional.Essential Job Functions (responsibilities)Identifies Agencys facilities needs and performs repairs and maintenancefor all Rainbows locations.Coordinates repair projects with vendors when needed and supervisessatisfactory delivery of service.Responds in a timely manner to issues that need immediate attention.Negotiates and implements contracts with service providers, coordinatingrenovations and updates.Keeps up to date on building codes and safety regulations and ensurescompliance.Oversees maintenance of Agency grounds, including preparation forchanging weather conditions.Supervises and approves the work of the Facilities Assistant.Oversees cleaning of facilities through a vendor arrangement, ensuringoptimal cleanliness.Monitors safety issues and recommends changes when identified.Schedules routine inspections as required.Reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences toleaders.Collaborates with Executive Leadership on budgeting for facilitiesneeds.Builds and maintains productive working relationships with AgencyLeadership, staff, vendors, and independent contractors.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Technical school education in a related area or equivalent experiencepreferred.Prior Experience Required With Heating, Air Conditioning And Watersystems, washers, dryers, refrigeration and other basic physical plantand equipment items.Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations and an understandingof the principles of preventative maintenance required.Clean driving record required.SkillsStrong technical maintenance skills.Ability to build relationships at all levels, both within the Agency andwith external individuals.Ability to prioritize tasks, organize work flow and communicate wellwith others.Ability to comply with agency policies and procedures.Ability to perform the essential duties and associated work tasks withinthe physical demand requirements outlined below.FLSA CLASSIFICATION:** ExemptWORK PACE:** Self-paced, requiring the ability to think and actquickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.WORK ENVIRONMENT:** Both indoors and outdoors, with some tasksrequiring work in inclement weather.Physical DemandsMay require frequent extended work days. Requires some travel betweenRUI sites, other community agencies and throughout the state.Sitting: Up to 1 hour per 8-hour shift. Alternates frequently to walkingand standing.Standing: 2-3 hours in an 8-hour work shift. Alternates frequently towalking and occasionally sitting.Walking: 5-6 hours in an 8-hour shift.
