If you're ready to use your skills to nurture tomorrow's leaders, we invite you to join our passionate team.Responsibilities:Recruit and suggest suitable staff replacements to the director/owner proactively before any vacancies ariseDevelop and oversee an exceptional early childhood educational curriculum in alignment with the Director/Owner's approvalConduct weekly staff meetings and be available during emergencies for immediate supportProvide monthly in-service staff training and utilize external training resources in the community when necessaryUphold the Child Care Center's overall goals and objectives effectivelyEstablish a clear division of labor among staff for general cleaning and maintenance of the premisesComplete staff write-ups as needed to maintain a productive work environmentEnsure all staff members adhere to the daily schedule consistentlyMaintain a dynamic waitlist to ensure full capacity through an active child enrollment outreach programStay compliant with building license requirements and oversee building and equipment maintenance diligentlyAdhere to Title 22, Title 5, and Health and Safety regulations on a daily basisConduct classroom sessions in an organized manner, fostering a disciplined yet nurturing atmosphereTeach curriculum subjects using approved methods and materials under the School Administration's guidanceSupervise, train, and support teaching staff and new Day Care personnel in the classroomKeep the school environment orderly, oversee equipment repairs, and manage supplies efficientlyHandle billing procedures monthly and ensure all necessary forms and notices are distributed promptlyMaintain up-to-date attendance records and follow up on absences exceeding two daysPrepare lesson plans, progress charts, and report cards for classroom children, conducting parent conferences biannuallyOrganize and participate in parent meetings, open houses, and weekly meetings with the program directorFulfill CACFP Food Program Manager/Administrator duties as outlinedEnsure compliance with CCTR and CSPP contracts daily, meeting all deadlines accuratelyPlan and execute annual events for staff and childrenPerform any other necessary duties as required for effective childcare operationsQualifications:The ideal candidate for the Site Supervisor position at the Child Development Center in Los Angeles, CA, must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher, which includes 24 ECE/CD units covering core courses, 6 administration units, and 2 adult supervision unitsA current Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is mandatory for this roleThe Site Supervisor should be capable of engaging in light physical work, such as lifting and carrying children weighing 14 to 30 pounds, bending, crouching, kneeling, and performing other light physical activities necessary for childcareMaintaining composure under pressure and effectively managing stress is crucial for the Site Supervisor, along with creating a pleasant work environment free from adverse conditionsThis position requires equal-opportunity employment practices and may involve modifications to the job description as neededAbout Company:FRUIT OF THE VINE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERNurturing Tomorrow's LeadersAt Fruit of the Vine, we believe in the transformative power of early childhood development, which we fondly refer to as "the vine."
