Assures compliance with the directives, policies and applicable laws and regulations. Responsible for developing and initiating improvements in the organization and delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care.This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly. Maintains documentation for fiscal impact tracing.Evaluates quality of care administered in assigned areas, makes rounds, and assures timely communication of significant operational issues.Focuses on empirical quality outcomes related to clinical practice.Collaborates with Ambulatory Nursing Leadership team to support the department goals and Geisinger Nursing system strategic plan.Serves as a strong role model in professional practice as evidenced by strong relationships with staff and members of other departments, effective communications, appropriate resource utilization and sound planning skills.Communicates pertinent information as necessary within the ambulatory nursing structureFacilitates team-based problem solving within and between departments.Actively support Magnet philosophies such as a healthy work environment, professional growth and patient and family involvement in care decisions.Supports Ambulatory Nursing Leadership team with administrative responsibilities for departments as delegated.Contributes feedback related to the development, maintenance, and implementation of policies and proceduresServes as a clinical resource, assisting nursing personnel in attending to identified patient and family needs, obtaining equipment and patient care items as necessary, and to answer questions and solve problems within the department and the institution.Promotes and supports positive guest relations.Position Details:Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
