We are currently seeking to fill the position of Field Service Technician.We are looking for career minded, Field Service Technician with service and installation experience who is excited to travel and as an added bonus has an interest in CNC Plasma cutting. This is an ideal position for a mature minded individual with experience with motion control hardware, electronics and an aptitude for learning. The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, training and providing effective customer service to our clients by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and services.A typical day will consist of travelling to customer locations, setting up new machinery, diagnostics and troubleshooting, providing both technical service help and training new users on the equipment. Arclight will completely train the most eligible candidate to support our product.Essential FunctionsJob requires a basic knowledge of hand tools, mechanical aptitude, and customer service. You will be talking to end users and assisting them with setup and repairing their machines over the phone.Position requires the use of Email, ERP, CRM, CAD, CAM, CNC and various other programs to support the use of the CNC plasma system. The company will train the selected candidate as needed.Case work is logged into software applications via computer terminal. Support Specialist will need basic comprehension of Microsoft OS, email system and ability to learn and utilize pertinent tracking software.Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical part failure issues in a timely manner.Employee will be responsible for inputting part/warranty orders when necessary. Train new clients in person on the basic operation of a CNC plasma table. Ability and willingness to travel to and perform on-site customer training/troubleshooting and diagnostics/repair work as a representative of the company as required.QualificationsMinimum of two years troubleshooting experience in a Customer Service or production environment.Previous Field Service experience highly desirableElectrical and Mechanical aptitude required.Experience using multi-meter , electrical-mechanical hand tools. Understanding of basic electrical components (switches, relays, fuses, power supplies, sensors, motors).Strong verbal and written communication skills.Analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.Ability to deal with customers in a positive, calm manner.Detail oriented and organized.Great attitude and 100% accountable.Personable and positive attitude.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Travel as an On Site Field Service Tech upon successful completion of training.EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate Degree/Certification Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment.
