In addition to monthly mortgage payments, each homeowner family invests hundreds of hours of their own labor, called "sweat equity," into the building of their house and the houses of others.Our volunteers – both skilled and unskilled – come as individuals or with groups from schools, churches, unions, or businesses in our community. In addition to construction volunteers and staff who run daily operations, Habitat Board of Directors and committee members contribute by being ambassadors, helping secure community involvement through awareness, outreach, and funding opportunities.The Resource Development Committee is a standing committee of the board of directors, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fundraising program, including providing guidance.RequirementsTime Commitment: 1-5 hours depending on current initiatives and events.TasksAssist in the implementation of a comprehensive fundraising strategy to address long-term, annual operating capital and endowment needs.Coordinate and plan special events and social events to bring awareness.Coordinate corporate sponsorship of projects.Plan and implement fundraising activities.Plan and implement online fundraising campaigns.Write Impact reports.Help thank donors and keep them informed about the impact of their gifts.Share Habitat's story in the community and on social media.Review progress toward fundraising goals and suggest improvements.Donor identification, acquisition, retention, and recognition.LocationRemote, with occasional visits to our build site in La Porte and virtual or in person meetings, La Porte or Michigan City#J-18808-Ljbffr
