Maintenance Technician II
Position Title: Maintenance Technician IIFunction:Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and facilities. Diagnose and fix mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issue to maximize equipment uptime. Install and integrate production equipment that involves plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and metal fabrication.Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:Perform all PM's (Preventative Maintenance) assigned task safely and efficiently. Create WO (Work Orders) for future PM or reactive work order that are needed.Analyze machine downtime to determine root cause and troubleshoot to repair or replace inadequate components.Complete WO's within the assigned schedule and budgetReport and close out WO's in the Upkeep systemTroubleshoot and fix mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issuesSetup, start, and run production equipmentStudy and optimize production equipment and processesUtilize powered industrial trucks to handle heavy equipment/productsInstall industrial machinery and diagnose machinery/ equipment malfunctions.Work with contractors and technicians to troubleshoot, upgrade, or run new equipmentReplace high voltage motors, drives, and controls.Calibrate and replace sensors, load cells, and photo eyes.Guidelines:Adhere to all safety guidelinesDo not deviate from supervisor instructions unless discussed and agreed uponUtilize Upkeep to manage all work ordersRequirements:4 years of related work experience or Electronics/Mechanical/Equipment CertificatesBasic electrical experience with 480 volts; 3 phase – preferredMust be able to work with required PPE on such as gloves, hearing protection, safety glasses/shield, respirator, hard hats, and to be certified in the Respirator programEducation/Experience:High School Diploma/GEDLanguage Skills:Bilingual Spanish preferredMathematical Skills:Basic Math, Knowledge of OHMs Law, Exposed to AlgebraReasoning Ability:Ability to think to make quick decisions with safety in mindTime management skillsTechnical capacityFlexibilityPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is mostly standing and requires repetitive hand movements, will also require walking, reaching, pulling, climbing, squat, kneel, bending, occasionally lifting up to about 30 lbs., taking pictures of finished work for upload to the Upkeep system. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to work in front of a computer monitor or tablet.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the production environment can be loud.
