FP&A Analyst
Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst In this Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst role, you will have the following key responsibilities:Financial Planning & AnalysisBuild and maintain company-wide financial and accounting statements, including monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range planningAnalyze revenue, gross margin, and contribution profit across products, customers, and partnersDevelop driver-based models to forecast key metrics such as GMV / TPV, take rate, revenue yield, and unit economicsSupport scenario planning and sensitivity analyses for new products, pricing strategies, and partnershipsPayments & Fintech EconomicsAnalyze and forecast payments revenue streams, including interchange, network fees, processor costs, and revenue share agreementsBuild models around interchange-plus, buy-rate, and blended pricing structuresEvaluate merchant profitability, cohort performance, and partner economicsPartner with Operations and Product teams to improve visibility into transaction-level economics and margin driversInvestor ReportingSupport preparation of monthly and quarterly investor reporting packagesAssist in financial presentations, including KPIs, variance analyses, and strategic insightsContribute to fundraising materials, data rooms, and ad hoc investor requestsTranslate complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives for executive and investor audiencesManagement Reporting & Business PartneringPrepare monthly management reporting packages, including variance analysis vs. budget/forecastSupport quarterly and annual department level budgeting and forecastingPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Product to understand drivers of performanceDeliver insights on growth, profitability, and efficiency metricsSupport pricing decisions, contract structuring, and strategic initiativesData & Process ImprovementBuild scalable financial models and reporting tools using ExcelAutomate reporting processes and improve data integrity across systemsSupport Financial Operations (FinOps) Team with monthly software partner residual reportingPartner with FinOps, Product, and Engineering teams to enhance access to financial and operational dataContinuously improve FP&A processes, reporting cadence, and forecasting accuracyWe'd love to hear from you if you haveRequired: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field5+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, Big 4 accounting, investment banking, or management consultingProficiency in understanding financial statements, forecasting, and budgetingAdvanced Excel / financial modeling skills (complex formulas, scenario modeling, large datasets)Experience building 3-statement models, operating models, or unit economics frameworksStrong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skillsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications: Experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or embedded financeFamiliarity with payments economics, including interchange, network fees, acquirer/processor pricing, and revenue share modelsExperience supporting investor reporting, management / board reporting, or fundraising processesExperience working in a high-growth startup or venture-backed companyExposure to BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and/or SQLBackground working with transaction-level or large-scale financial datasetsWhile the role is remote, candidates located in Seattle or Los Angeles are preferred.We think you'll love being part of our team becauseAt Payabli, you'll have a front row seat to building a high-growth venture backed fintech company.
